The Taipei Aerospace and Defence Technology Exhibition (TADTE) and the Drone Taiwan Exhibition organised by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will take place at the TWTC Exhibition Hall 1, 15-17 August 2019.
In addition to the already-popular exhibition areas, such as those dedicated to the Ministry of National Defence Pavilion, Aerospace Industry, National Defence Industry, Taiwan Aerospace Industry Association and the Space Tech Expo areas, the newly established Military Supplies and Training Equipment area will make it easier to showcase light national defence equipment. More than 80 percent of booths have already been snapped up.
TAITRA is still able to welcome manufacturers and suppliers related to aerospace components, avionics, flight training, navigation and communication equipment, fasteners, machine tools and drones who wish to participate in the exhibition.
Taiwan’s aerospace industry has strong manufacturing capacities and its output value continues to grow steadily. In 2018, its output value was reported at $3.89 billion; a 10 percent increase from 2017. According to Ministry of Finance statistics, the export value of Taiwan’s aerospace industry reached $705 million in 2018; a substantial increase of 63.49 percent from 2017. These figures indicate that the aerospace industry has great development potential and can compete in the international market.
As the industry continues to develop, the size of the 2019 TADTE and the Drone Taiwan is expected to break the record set the previous year. Participating Taiwanese organisations include the AIDC, Min Chun Precision, GEOSAT, KOLEAD, Taiwan UAV and the National Space Organisation (NSPO), as well as other industry-related institutions and manufacturers. Lockheed Martin, which has participated in the exhibition for many years consecutively, will again showcase its products.
Affirming the success of last year’s exhibitions, Honeywell will join BAE Systems, Aero Precision, CBOL, Collins Aerospace, DIMO, General Dynamics, HARRIS and others in expanding their participation in this year’s exhibition. Through TADTE, the companies will strengthen their presence in the Asia Pacific aerospace market.
TAITRA has promoted TADTE to the Japan International Aerospace exhibition and organised a briefing with the French Aerospace Industries Association (GIFAS) at the Paris Air Show. The purpose of these activities was to increase the exhibitions’ exposure in developed markets, such as Japan and France.
During TADTE, the organisers will arrange professional seminars, forums and one-on-one procurement meetings. In addition, the UAV Test Flight area will be arranged to maximise space for participating companies to operate within the zone. This will allow visitors to witness the superior results of research and development (R&D) operations.
A total of 112 organisations operating 706 booths, have already registered for the TADTE and Drone Taiwan. Organisations interested in participating in the exhibitions can contact Mr. Hardaway Chan for further information.
