Berkman Diraman, international customer success manager with CES, holds up his companies recently developed Ultra Light body armour plate.
At just over 1.6 pounds (0.73 kilograms) it provides protection from up to six shots from 7.62mmx51mm M80 NATO ball / 7.62mmx39mm PS Ball. The armour was developed for a European Special Forces customer in only two months.
(EDITORS NOTE: Having worn body armour plates in both Iraq and Afghanistan I can attest to its lightness compared to those within my experience).
