Nova Systems is continuing to build an Australian supply chain, with more than 50 local suppliers briefed on opportunities in the organisation’s growing supply chain – currently responsible for supporting $20B worth of complex projects within the land domain.

Presentations at today’s industry briefing detailed how Nova Systems is bringing together a concentration of Australian defence capabilities through its broad subcontractor network, creating more choice for the Australian defence client.

Nova Systems has a growing subcontractor network, which has just reached a milestone of 300 companies.

More than 90% of these are wholly Australian owned and controlled, equalling more than 1,000 local jobs and enabling Australian Small and Medium Enterprises to partner with the Australian Army on projects of national significance.

“Nova Systems is committed to creating a pipeline of work for our sovereign supply chain to deliver tailored solutions to the Australian Army to ensure they can respond to the national security agenda as it continues to evolve,” Jim McDowell, Nova Group CEO, said.

“We have opportunities available to help support to the Capability and Acquisition Sustainment Group’s Explosive Material Branch to look after weapons and ordnance certification to ensure the Australian Defence Force’s ordnance are safe and suitable for service.

“We are also working with the Land Systems Division to provide Engineers, Project Managers, Test and Evaluation and Systems Assurance specialists to ensure new capabilities being sought by the Australian Army are safe and effective across the whole acquisition lifecycle.

“We also partner with industry and have joined with Safran and BAE Systems Australian to form Team SABRE in response to the Land 125 Phase 4 Integrated Soldier System Program.

“There is significant scope to provide product and professional services as part of Team SABRE to support the warfighter.”
