Nova Systems to Bring Sovereign Smarts and Solutions to Land Forces 2021

For the first time in the company’s 20-year history, Nova Systems will have a stand-alone exhibit at the Land Forces Expo in Brisbane from June 1-3. The Australian owned and controlled company will showcase its land domain expertise and geospatial and situational awareness capability.

Recognised as leaders in Test and Evaluation, Certification and Systems Assurance (T&ECSA), Nova Systems’ presence in the land domain has grown rapidly in recent years.

Nova Systems supports $20B worth of complex land projects for the Capability and Acquisition Sustainment Group (CASG) through the Major Service Provider arrangement as the lead of Team Nova.

Nova Group CEO, Jim McDowell, said Nova Systems recognises that the land domain is continuing to become increasingly integrated and complex as it adopts to new technologies and capabilities.

“We deliver engineering and technology solutions to enable the Australian Army to constantly meet their evolving challenges,” Mr McDowell said.

“Our diverse client experience – with both the Commonwealth and defence industry – is a key strength and differentiator of ours and ensures we retain and grow experience and capability at each step, ensuring critical capability remains here in Australia.”

To showcase the company’s sovereign smarts and capabilities, Nova Systems will be hosting a series of events during Land Forces, including:

  • Sovereign breakfast panel discussion: 0730-0900 on Wednesday 2 June: A panel featuring leaders of Australian owned and controlled entities will discuss the theme “Building Australian sovereign capability in the Land domain.”
  • Industry engagement information session: 1200-1300 on Wednesday 2 June: With a broad and growing subcontractor network, this event will delve into the range of current and future partnering opportunities available within Nova Systems’ growing supply chain.
  • Workforce future event: 1200-1300 on Thursday 3 June: Nova Systems will partner with the Queensland Government, Engineers Australia, Australian Industry (Ai) Group and Queensland universities to showcase to undergraduate students the exciting opportunities available within defence.
  • Technical demonstrations of geospatial and situational awareness capability: daily at Booth #2T8: Live demonstrations of geospatial and situational awareness capabilities, which provide a unique and holistic picture to decision makers to give the best information to respond in an emergency or battle situation.
