Kazan Helicopters of Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec State Corporation) will present light utility Ansat helicopter in Patrol modification and Mi-17V-5 military and transport helicopter at the static exposition of Army-2018 International Military and Technical Forum.
A police version of Ansat helicopter is designed to perform patrol and rescue operations, render assistance in emergency situations and ecological catastrophes. The helicopter is equipped with SON-730 electro-optical system ensuring round-the-clock surveillance, detection and recognition of objects. This device can recognize car plates, distinguish people and transmit data in real-time mode to the ground indicator of a command post with the range of 5 km. SX-5 adjustable searchlight ensures illumination of a target during night, TS–200WR external loudspeaker allows using it for voice commands and public notification.

We will showcase two modern helicopters, Mi-17V-5 and Ansat, fitted with state-of-the-art equipment for performing a wide range of missions for law-enforcement agencies”, – stated Yuriy Pustovgarov, Managing Director of Kazan Helicopters.
Ansat is a light twin-engine utility helicopter powered by two engines, depending on modification it can accommodate up to nine people. To date, the maximum take-off weight of the helicopter has been increased up to 3.6 tons, the payload is 1.3 ton, the cruise speed is up to 260 km/h, the maximum speed is 275 km/h, full-tanks range is 520 km.
Mi-17V-5 military and transport helicopter is used to transport cargoes and materiel with the weight of up to four tons. The helicopter can also be used for other missions, such as search and rescue operations. Mi-17V-5 is equipped with state-of-the-art communication and navigation suites, the cabin is fitted with equipment compatible with night vision goggles. During the long-term operation Mi-17V-5 helicopter has proved that it successfully copes with the missions in any climatic conditions and is widely regarded as one of the best helicopters in the world in its class. Mi-17 type helicopters produced at the facilities of Kazan Helicopters have been delivered to 80 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the CIS.
