This article is published in our Show Daily 2017 - Day 4.

Falcon-V-VTOL-UAV
Developed by the Top Engineering Group Company under a DTI contract, the innovative Falcon-V is a one metre wingspan fixed-wing UAV capable of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) with a 5kg payload.

Thailand’s Armed Forces recognise the tactical and strategic importance of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and several indigenous designs are on display at Defense & Security Thailand 2017.

The Thailand Ministry of Defense’s Defense Technology Institute (DTI) has a primary mission to research and develop large-scale military equipment for the Armed Forces and national security units paving the way for Thailand’s defense industry on the road to sustainability and self-reliance. UAS technology is one of the key targets included in a seven-year project stared in 2013 resulting in the development of a range of unmanned aerial systems.

Tiger-Shark-II
The Tiger Shark II medium-range tactical UAV was a project initiated by the Royal Thai Air Force. With an operational range of 100-150km, the Tiger Shark has a payload of 30kg and a ceiling of 10,000ft (3,048m).
Tarem tactical UAV
A multi-rotor Tarem tactical UAV is being developed by the Thai Naval Research and Development Office for communication and C4ISR missions.
Hand-launched-mini
A hand-launched mini-UAV with a 2kg payload is under development for the Royal Thai Army Military Intelligence Research Unit.
Sky-Scout
6) Powered by an Italian piston engine, the 10m wingspan Sky Scout tactical UAV is being developed for DTI by R V Connex. Capable of carrying a 10kg payload to 10,000ft (3,048m) with a six hour endurance, the Sky Scout has flown more than 200 hours in development.
Falcon-V
The Falcon-V is powered by a Chinese piston engine with four electric motors providing VTOL capability.

R&D-UAV
The four metre wingspan R&D fixed-wing UAV has been used to test an automatic flight control system to accommodate the DTI advanced external pilot’s course.
D-Eye Mk.1
A hand-launched mini-UAV D-Eye Mk.1 research and development air vehicle is a lightweight man-portable tactical UAV with a one hour endurance and a ceiling of 3,000ft (914m).
